"Atlanta, Georgia"

Welcome

Who is Liberty Jones? Liberty came to fruition during the early stages of the Americana movement. Originally a 4-piece, Liberty has morphed into a quintet with an extensive song list, solid musicianship and sense of humor that has them being likened to a southern rock NRBQ.

Liberty Jones Storms Smith's Olde Bar

I hope you are already making plans to join Liberty Jones at Smith’s Olde Bar on January 13 at 7 pm. Joining Liberty on the bill is Chris Berardo and the DesBerardos, a great band from Connecticut that plays hook-laden country rock. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. So be wise, buy early to save money and insure you won’t get shut out when the show sells out.

Liberty Jones will be playing songs from 2007’s critically acclaimed, “Atlanta, Georgia.” The band will be going into the studio in February to begin work on the follow-up and might just crack out a couple of the songs slated for the new disc.

Start the new year off right by supporting Atlanta’s own, Liberty Jones.

LIBERTY JONES SETS UP AGAIN AT THE RED LIGHT CAFÉ ON AUG 11 ALONG WITH PALS JOHN BRANNEN AND ROGER MATHIS THE SHOW WILL ROCK! Marietta, GA- Back off the heels of their show at the Mable House Ampilitheater Liberty Jones is going “home” to the Red Light Café on Saturday August 11th at 8:30 PM with a $ 10.00 ticket. Singer-songwriters John Brannen and Roger Mathis will be there as well to rock the joint. The Red Light Café is located on 553 Amsterdam Ave, in Midtown Atlanta their phone: 404.874.7828 (www.redlightcafe.com). The band’s CD, Atlanta GA, (Indian Proud Entertainment) has been doing really well in sales, radio airplay and press attention. As we speak, the CD has been playing across the country on 35 different stations as well as internet. The band huddled into Atlanta’s very own WRFG on a Friday night with Marc Miller, on his Spam n Grits show played and talked for about an hour. It was also broadcasted over the internet so folks could hear it all over. On the Blogcritic’s Magazine, writer Kate Harding’s gushing review, made it to the Boston.com reviews page and a lot of other blogs and online sites have picked it up. Miles of Music has called it “a cracker of a guarantee!” Music News Nashville (online mag) claims-“proves that they have the talent to go far with their wide open approach.” But the kind words from Ms Harding, sums it up best, “I wouldn’t be surprised to see Liberty Jones take quite a stance in the Southern Rock /Americana/Country-oh, whatever-world.” With their solid line up and tight harmonies the band continues to march forward to catch as many fans along the way as possible. They had a great response from the Mable House audience and staff when they played a 30 min set. Everyone referred them as the “Marietta based band”. Yup, local boys done good. So to quote an old Pinky and the Brain classic: Pinky: What we gonna do tonight Brain? The Brain: Same thing we do every night, try and take over the world! For information on the band, or just wanna check them out-www.libertyjones.com-www.myspace.com/libertyjones IPE (Indian Proud Entertainment) is an independent record label that is family owned and operated.
